The Kano State Government has approved the adjustment of the 2021/2022 school calendar for both public and private primary and secondary schools operating in the state because of the forthcoming Ramadan. By this adjustment, therefore, all public and private primary and post-primary schools operating in the state are to be closed for five weeks vacation with effect from Friday, April 1, 2022, to Sunday, May 8, 2022

2021/2022 School Calendar For All Primary & Post Primary Schools In Kano
Kano state Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, OFR has approved the expansion and creation of new Zonal Education Directorate s across some MDA's under the state Ministry of Education. Disclosing the new development, the State Commissioner of Education Malam Muhammad Sanusi Sa'id Kiru said that it was as a result of an Executive Memo presented to the Governor by the ministry on the need for the additional Zonal Directorates.
His Excellency, The Executive Governor of Kano State, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has approved the immediate construction of Hand pump boreholes to 13 Almajiri and other Schools in the state in fulfillment of his determination to ensure good health, condusive atmosphere for learning and maximum welfare of Almajiri and other students in the boarding schools.
